Aspirator; is the name given to the product that draws in and sucks gaseous flowing substances and dust in enclosed spaces. Air pollution in enclosed spaces is very important. The air we breathe, with ALLERGENS such as house dust, flower pollen, mold, animal hair; IRRITANTS such as cigarette smoke, hair spray, perfume, cleaning materials, sharp odors; the pollution and loss of freshness caused by house dust mites, food odors, humidity, organic vapors, microorganisms, carbon monoxide, ozone, sulfate and similar gases trigger many health problems, allergies, and especially asthma.
The deterioration of the proportions in the composition of the air on earth in favor of one of them also creates a polluting effect. Although the ratios of these gases are small, their harm to the building occupants and construction materials is great. Therefore, an aspirator is needed to remove these pollutants from the environment. Today, people spend more than 80% of their time in enclosed spaces. The air in these areas, in which the known pollutants are not found at harmful concentration levels determined by authorized organizations and do not cause discomfort, is defined as “Acceptable indoor air quality”.
Effective ventilation can be achieved by detecting all the pollutants in the enclosed space to be ventilated and using the most suitable aspirator for that space. You can find out what type of aspirator should be used in the enclosed space where you will improve and protect indoor air quality with the help of the calculation system below.
One of the important points in ventilation is that when an aspirator with unnecessarily high capacity is selected, unnecessary energy loss occurs. For example, if an aspirator used in a factory is selected as 0.55 kW instead of 0.37 kW, it consumes 1.62 kW per day and 35 kW per month unnecessarily. (It has been calculated by assuming 9 hours of work per day and 22 working days per month.) If you think there are 5 of these fans, it makes 178.2 kW per month. This means the energy consumed by an aspirator of 0.37 kW, which is correctly selected, working for 481.6 hours.
Unfortunately, today people do not pay attention to the motor power of aspirators, thinking that it will ventilate better. If an aspirator works in free volume, that is, if there is no counter resistance, when 0.55 kW is installed instead of 0.37 kW on that aspirator, since the speed will not increase too much with the same propeller, there will be no difference in air flow. Unnecessarily, electrical energy turns into heat energy.
However, since there is counter resistance in radial fans and fans connected to ducts, motor power directly affects flow and pressure values. Radial fans are designed to be used in places with counter resistance, in ducts, like a kind of pump.
WHEN CHOOSING THE MOST SUITABLE ASPIRATOR FOR YOUR NEEDS,
It should be remembered that proper ventilation can be achieved by ensuring the removal of dirty, polluted air as well as the supply of new and clean air, and by selecting the aspirator with the most suitable capacity for the environment.
For this,
Calculate the volume of the area to be ventilated by multiplying the width, length, and height measurements in meters. (VOLUME m3 = Width x Length x Height) Find the required air change rate per hour in this area with the help of table (B) and multiply it by the volume. When you add the air requirement amounts according to the condition of the people in this area from table (C) to the air requirement you found, you will determine the total amount of air required for this area and the model of the aspirator you need to use.
